Cinnamon Toast.

There's something comforting about this warm, sweet toast that pairs perfectly with a nice cup of tea. If you have never tried this before, you're in for a treat. It's a bit like a sugar sandwich/doughnut but with WAY less fat, and when you try it you'll wonder why you never discovered cinnamon toast sooner - especially as it is so quick and easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • Slice of bread - brown or white, it doesn't really matter
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar combined with 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon.
  • Butter
Method:

1. Turn the grill on and toast one side of your bread.

2. Butter the un-toasted side.

3. Sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar mixture over the top of the buttered side of bread, and place back under the grill for a few more minutes.

At this point your kitchen will smell pretty much like heaven.

Seriously good comfort food. Cut in half and serve with a cup of tea or coffee.

Have you ever tried cinnamon toast? I have loved it since I was a little girl and it's great for when there are no biscuits or chocolate in the cupboard and you need that sugar fix.
